Ohio State needs to get some respect. They don’t get enough credit for their success. They have a perfect record of 10-0. The schedule they play isn’t that tough but they are good enough to play any team and win. They played a great Wisconsin team and beat them by a good margin. OSU also beat Penn State which is a good team. The only quality opponent they play in the future is Michigan. Ohio State is projected to go into their second BCS title game and get killed. Ohio State beats anyone they play. Ohio State just lines up their opponent and beats them. They have won a “remarkable 28 consecutive regular season games and 20 in a row in conference, a Big Ten record.” http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news;_ylt=AtUp4ZcehemMgDMsPHZ5_z8cvrYF?slug=dw-ohiostate110607&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
LSU, Oregon and West Virginia are talked about as one of the best teams in college football right now but they all lost to an average team who was an underdog. OSU backs up and puts a W on their record for every team they’ve played. Although OSU gets criticized for having an easy schedule because the helmets of its “four opponents spelled Y-A-W-N (Youngstown, Akron, Washington and Northwestern),” the buckeyes have backed up their play. http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/27986 Ohio State is a great football team and after they play against Michigan and get the W, all the critics will change their mind for disagreeing. It’s extremely hard to argue with facts and having a 28 regular season wins in a row is unreal. OSU, we will see you in the BCS title game!

Lavin, I agree with you on your opinion that it is time to start giving the Buckeyes some respect. All they have done this year is win. They can't control how good their conference is this year. People point to their weak schedule as their reason for being undefeated. They played a traditional power in Washington, who just happened to have a down year this year. They scheduled a series with USC starting next year as well as future series with Miami (Florida), Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech. So you can't fault them for not trying to schedule tough games. The point is, the Buckeyes are undefeated and seem on their way to a National Championship birth and I think they will surprise a lot of people when they play in whatever bowl game they land in. The Buckeyes are for real.
Lavin, I do not agree with your reasoning on why you think the Buckeyes are legit. You said that there schedule isn't that tough but that they could beat any team and win. That statement is just an opinion to me. I am not doubting that OSU isn't good because they are good I just don't think you bring up any solid points on why you think they are legit. For me to consider your arguement I look at their schedule. It is not that strong of a schedule and when you play teams like Akron and Youngstown all season I think Ohio could be undeafeated. When you look at LSU they are playing solid teams every game. They are in a very tough league and they only have one loss. I feel as though statistics are the only thing that can qualify a team as legit.
I completely disagree with you that the Buckeyes are legitamte. If you look at the teams they have beaten none of them have been impressive. Many of the schools like Akron, Youngstown state,North Western, and Kent state are not exactly the biggest teams out there and not even middle of the pack when it comes to competition. OSU is probably the weakest number 1 team ever. I think when they head to ann arbor or even this week with Illonis and Juice Williams they are going to get rocked. They might get lucky and get all the way to the BCS regardless they will not finish the season at number 1 period.
Kevin, I am sorry but I do not agree with you. Ohio State is a good team, I will agree with you there. But they do have an easy schedule and have beaten no one that impressive. I believe they are a bit overrated. Other teams such as LSU and West Virginia have earned their title as some of the best teams in college football because they are playing against top ranked teams and doing very well. This is just your opinion and of course you are going to be biased. Everyone backs up his or her favorite college team. Once Ohio State does something to impress me, or out of the ordinary, then maybe I will reconsider my judgment.
I don't think so. They are a great team, don't get me wrong but they are not the best simply because of their weak schedule. I still have a strong feeling that Michigan is going to beat them and all you Buckeye fans are going to be coming up with excuses out your ass. I just see so many better teams around the country this year such as LSU, Oregon, WVU, and I'd even go and say that Kansas is better than them this year. The Buckeyes will get a wake up call sometime soon and you Buckeye fans are not going to be happy when they face a real team.
